Hot water=no striper action?

Just wanted to hear some thoughts about the fishing up at lake arthur. I haven't been having to much luck finding the alewives or the stipers since the water temp is up so high. This must have something to do with it.

The funny part is that when we go up on the lake there isn't as many boats on the water as there used to be. It makes me think that all the guys who know the striper fishing at lake arthur know that the fish aren't there right now.

Let me know what you think...

Pic of the island near the dam at Lake Arthur

My father took this picture one early morning at Lake Arthur. If you look closely you can see two fisherman getting an early start.

Nice largemouth, caught and released

Sorry about the hair-do...lol

Fishing Lake Arthur for Stripers

I have had a little luck fishing for them at night, around 11pm. What usually works for me is a Bomber Long-A, and I retreive it as slow as possible.

I am really interested in hearing any other techniques for catching these elusive fish.

Any comments at all are greatly appreciated.

Good fishing to all!
